Favory has decided to install an I-Cube in their existing blast-freezer.
The I-Cube will replace a semi automated system  “compact stelling”.
Favory expects besides reliability and increased capacity a more intelligent logistic solution. The configuration of this I-Cube is engineered together with Agrotechnology & Food Sciences Group Wageningen. Computer models are used to calculate optimum freezing procedures.

Favory I-Cube functions:
1. Freezing
2. Sorting
3. Buffering

Kraats Kaas has ordered an I-Cube

Kraats Kaas has build in 2009 a fully automated new factory in Hoogeveen.
An I-Cube is installed at the end of the production lines.

The I-Cube will be used for storing, sorting and order selection of the various products.
The very compact I-Cube (16 x 17 meters, 10 meter high) has a capacity of 1.000 pallets.

Frigo Lommel has successfully implemented a very advanced I-Cube configuration to handle a 24/7 operation for a big french fries production company.

The I-Cube of Frigo Lommel can handle up to 120 pallets per hour in and out.

Frigo Lommel receives a constant flow of frozen and fresh products from the factory. These products are produced on different lines at the customer production facility. This means that Frigo Lommel is receiving the products in a chaotic sequence. The flow can be divided into two main streams of frozen and fresh products. Those streams get redivided in different products, packing units and lot numbers.

The frozen products are sorted in the I-Cube and transported per 2 pallets from the I-Cube onto a high transport chain conveyor to the other side of the warehouse, ready to be loaded into a coldstore.

The fresh products are stored and sorted in the I-Cube and ready for outbound procedures within a maximum of 3 days.

Figures Frigo Lommel I-Cube:

  • 2.640 pallets
  • 2 inbound locations
  • 4 outbound locations
  • inbound up to 120 pallets per hour
  • outbound up to 120 pallets per hour

WICS WMS is used by Eijgenhuijsen bv, specialized in delivering tailor made copiers. Eijgenhuijsen bv uses several modules of WICS WMS in their warehouse. For example, to manage their specific In- and Outbound tasks for two of their clients, RICOH and TechnoGym, standard processes are defined, based on the serial numbers. This results in a secure and precize Track&Trace of the various articles and activities. All warehouse activities are RF-scanned procedures, up to the supervision of loading the trucks. For more company information: www.eijgenhuijsen.nl
